Little book of Parenting

For months the pot was empty gathered trash

One day I found two very weak plants and put them in a pot and filled with water

For a few months nothing happened, I put a third pot and a few seeds

Every morning I used to refill and shower the pot with water

But nothing changed or shifted

One day a tiny bud emerged , but even that took a month to bloom

My only job in these eight months was to water , refill and ensure sunlight

Parenting life and leadership sutra

The flower will bloom in its own time

My Reflections

1. Can I be equally patient with my child

2. Can I be equally patient with my work

3. Can I be equally patient in my relationships

4. Can I just focus on providing water and sunlight

5. Can I accept and surrender that some seeds may not bloom , but I have a garden to tend

6. Can I accept that some trees will just have leaves, can I not compare and celebrate what is

7. What areas in my life come under points 5 and 6

This has been my journey with nurturing Yajat and Yashaj my sons and my water Lilly pond.

Love n light

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

— Prashant Gulati, Chief Sales (Retail), Dr Fixit.

The workshop ‘I am Responsible’ was a very useful initiative, that brought home to all participants, the importance of owing up responsibilities and driving execution from the front with teams. Through group exercises & Self-realization, it tried to squarely bring home the meaning of the word ‘Áccountability’ to all participants, as well as the fact that we are all capable of going much further than we ourselves believe possible. This programme should be a first step for anybody trying to drive through a change in team mindset. Definitely recommended for Managers.
